• The North Carolina Home Builders Association (NCHBA) is pleased to share information about their Regional Workforce Development Scholarships as well as their NCHBA Educational Foundation Scholarships and encourage you to help us spread the word to eligible students.

The Regional Workforce Development scholarships are available to North Carolina high school seniors who plan to attend a community college or trade school in NC and enroll in a program directly related to residential construction. Eligible pathways include, but are not limited to, construction management, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and other skilled trades essential to the home building industry. Scholarships will be awarded to at least one student in each of NCHBA’s eight regions, reinforcing our commitment to supporting workforce development across the entire state. Applicants are evaluated primarily on their written response explaining why they have chosen a career pathway in residential construction and outlining their long-term career goals. We value students who demonstrate passion, purpose, and a clear vision for their future in the industry.

The NCHBA Educational Foundation Scholarships are open to students who are rising junior or seniors in a four-year university majoring in a program, also related to residential construction. These students do not have to be related to an NCHBA member; however, they must be nominated by a member.

The application deadline is March 30, 2026.
